An Interview with ‘HighKey,’ the Swaggy Dude-Bro’s Taking Over BitClout
After my first week on BitClout, I HAD to interview the guys from HighKey. A celebrity giveaway brand, and VERY early adopters of BitClout, HighKey has seen amazing success. Becoming one of the top brands, with their coin trading at nearly $15,000 at time of writing.

But just who ARE these swaggy dudes? And what do they see in BitClout? Why do they think it’s worth Investing $250,000 in, which they did for a YouTube video instructional
I decided to talk to Luke Lintz of HighKey to find out!
JETPACK:
How’d you find BitClout?
LUKE: We were introduced to BitClout through our friend Jake Udell. Jake is one of the owners of a very large company called Community. Community allows influencers and celebrities to grow a text message audience and is a very easy to use text message CRM.
The second we heard about BitClout we were in love with the platform. We’ve had multiple ideas and dreams about a stock exchange for trading clout and investing into personal brands, but the way BitClout was created was beyond our wildest dreams.

What makes you trust BitClout?
LUKE:
We highly trust the concept of what BitClout offers.
We fully believe that decentralized social media is the future. We are currently living in a world of massive centralization. When you spend 6, 7 or 8 figures into a platform like Instagram you don’t own any part of that following base that you have grown. At any point in time, Instagram has the full right to censor, shadow ban or fully disable your account. This is where the decentralized component of BitClout comes into play, where every creator on the platform has ownership of their own “creator coin” and any money directly invested into themselves, is not only retained but helps build their brand and attract other investors.
We still have our speculations and doubts with BitClout, as any person would getting into a platform this early, but the concept is perfectly aligned with our goals, where we had to jump on the opportunity and go all in. We aren’t gambling with money that we can’t afford to lose, we are simply investing money into a concept that we are very educated in with the potential of a 1000X return.

What interests you most about BitClout?
LUKE:
THE POTENTIAL.
The potential of BitClout interest us the most because there are literally endless possibilities of what BitClout can lead into as an initial social media beta and as the first digital currency to enter the social media realm. Here are a list of some of the areas that we believe BitClout will brand into very quickly:
- Currently BitClout launched around the middle of march with an initial development that seems like a version of Twitter. BitClout is simply the foundational crypto currency where development can go in any direction that the future and current developers want to take it. We see there being a decentralized Instagram, Facebook, Tik Tok, YouTube and so many other applications as decentralized replicates with the BitClout currency as the foundation of them.
- BitClout will be a place where Entrepreneurs and businesses who heavily believe in investing in themselves will come and become top creators, because the investment in their brand will directly correlate with their notoriety and clout on the platform.
- There will be no centralized entities to control what media is delivered to the audience and censor people on the platform.

Is It a fad?
LUKE:
We are 100% certain that the concept of BitClout is the future. Even though BitClout looks promising we can not say for certain that BitClout will be the platform that paves the way for this.
JETPACK:
Where do you see BitClout in 1 year?
LUKE:
In one year we forecast the BitClout cryptocurrency on a couple of major crypto exchanges.
In one year we also foresee that the majority of A list celebrities and top creators will have either claimed their BitClout profile or make new profiles and will be consistently posting content like twitter.
In 2–3 years, we see centralized platforms like Twitter almost entirely taken over by BitClout.
JETPACK:
What features do you think could be useful?
The main feature that will allow BitClout to take over every major social media platform is managing scale and placing BitClout on at least one major crypto exchange.
I believe that BitClout is not on a crypto exchange because we are in the very early stages of the platform and they need to manage the volatility of the platform as it’s a critical time period.
The managing scale aspect will be critical when major creators and A list celebrities start promoting this and hundreds of thousands of people flood to the platform to sign up for accounts in the matter of a few hours. It will be interesting to see how the developers handle this.
Currently the transaction fees and the speed of sending BitClout from one wallet to another wallet is instant and costs basically nothing. It will be interesting to see if this can become much more than just the foundation of the future of social media, but also a transactional crypto currency.

What makes you want to invest in a creator?
LUKE:
- There are a lot of things we look for and are going to look for when investing in creator coins. At this current moment we are mainly investing in creators that we are onboarding and know will come onto the platform. These are influencers and celebrities that we have partnered up with on giveaway campaigns and have direct contact with.

Plug something! Where else should people follow you and what should they know?
LUKE:
We are treating BitClout like @highkey being on a crypto stock market.
- We are building relationships with our investors.
